Statement Of Faith

The Trinity

God the Father: God the Father is maker of heaven and earth. He is omnipotent (all-powerful), omniscient (all-knowing), and omnipresent (everywhere at once). He is all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-wise. His very nature is love. (Genesis 1:1, Matthew 6:9; Romans 8:14,15; 1 Corinthians 8:6; 1 Corinthians 15:24)

God the Son: Jesus Christ is God’s Son. He was born of the virgin Mary, conceived by the Holy Spirit, lived a sinless life, and gave himself as a sacrifice, once and for all, for those who believe. He died and rose again three days later. He ascended into heaven and now sits at the right hand of the Father, interceding for the saints. Through Jesus Christ death and resurrection, He made atonement for sins and eternal life in heaven possible. (John 1:34-35; John 1:1,2,14,18; Romans 3:24-26’ Romans 8:34)

God the Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit is the Divine Person of the Trinity who convicts the world of sin; brings life to those who are spiritually dead; baptizes all believers with power; and indwells them permanently. The Holy Spirit seals believers in Christ until the day of redemption, gives gifts to individuals in Body of Christ, and aids in the cultivation of the fruits of the Spirit. (John 3:3-8;14:16-17; 16:7-11; 1 Corinthians 12;7-11; Ephesians 4:30; 5:18)

The Bible

All Scripture is God-breathed and inspired by God (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21). The entire Bible, in its original form, is the inerrant Word of God, without error or contradiction. (Luke 24:27, John 5:39; Romans 15:4)

Man

Man was created in the image of God, but fell into sin. Every man born since the fall in the Garden of Eden has been born with a dead spirit that can only be regenerated by believing in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. (Genesis 1:26-27; John 3:3; Romans 3:10,23)

The Devil – Satan

Satan is the deceiver who enticed man to sin. He comes to kill, steal, and destroy and is destined to eternal punishment. (Genesis 3; John 10;10; 2 Corinthians 4:4; Revelation 20:10)

Salvation

Salvation is a gift of God’s grace and cannot be obtained through works. It is freely given to those who put their faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross. All who confess Jesus as Lord and believe in their heart that God raised Him from the dead will be saved. Salvation is by faith alone, through grace alone, in Jesus Christ alone. John 1:12; Acts 16:30-33; Ephesians 1:7, 2:8-9)

The Great Commission

Jesus commissioned the church (all Christians) to go into the world and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. God works through Christians as instruments of Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 25:31-46; 28:18-20)
