Graceologie Episode 44: Trudy Cathy White
It doesn’t matter who you are or where you’re from, there are mountains in life we ALL have to climb. Sometimes they’re steep with pain, trials and loss. Sometimes the climb is about understanding who you are in Christ, or how to be a godly parent and leave a lasting legacy.
In episode #44 of Graceologie, my guest Trudy Cathy White shares openly with a heart of wisdom, depth and humility about finding God faithful in her journey. Each story and Scripture she shares will point you to the promise that God himself is much like a mountain: steadfast, strong and mighty.
HIGHLIGHTS and QUOTES to remember:
“More things are caught than taught.”
“Grief is real and sometimes the healing is slow.”
There are 3 things we really need in order to climb the mountains God gives us: truth, understanding and dependency.
TRUTH (God does exist and we can know Him.)
UNDERSTANDING (God would never waste any experience in our lives.)
DEPENDENCY (We aren’t meant to climb our mountains alone.)
I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? 2 My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. 3 He will not let your foot slip—he who watches over you will not slumber; 4 indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. 5 The Lord watches over you—the Lord is your shade at your right hand; 6 the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. 7 The Lord will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; 8 the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.
